Roll for Creature! Create Your Own Mythical Beast

  • The Grapevine Community Arts Space 1st Arrowsmith Ave Ellenbrook, WA, 6069 Australia (map)

Roll for Creature! Create Your Own Mythical Beast.

What happens when a kangaroo gets butterfly wings, a crocodile tail and glowing horns? Roll the dice and find out!

In this imaginative hands-on workshop, participants will invent their own unique creatures using a fun dice-based prompt system. Each roll determines different features such as animal parts, habitats, special abilities, colours and characteristics. Participants can follow the dice prompts or let their imagination take over and design a creature entirely from scratch.

Once their creature is planned, participants will bring it to life by building a 3D sculpture using a variety of art and craft materials. Along the way, we'll explore where their creature lives, what it eats, how it behaves, and what makes it special.

This playful workshop encourages creativity, storytelling, problem-solving and imaginative world-building while giving young artists the opportunity to create a creature unlike anything seen before.

Suitable for: Young people who love art, fantasy, animals and creative storytelling.
All materials supplied.
No previous art experience required.

Who is this for?
