Membership

Entrants must be a current financial member of Ellenbrook Arts.

Artworks must be no more than 12 months old at the time of entry and must be the work of the submitting artist.

​To preserve the originality of the exhibition, submitted works must not have been previously exhibited at Ellenbrook Arts.

​Only one (1) artwork per member is permitted. 

​2 Dimensional works cannot exceed 110cm in width, 110cm in height and 25kg in weight.

​3 Dimensional works cannot exceed 110cm in width, 110cm in height, 110cm in length and 25kg in weight.

Entry limit

Due to the hanging system in the gallery, two D-rings are required to be fixed to all hanging works. A D-ring is to be affixed on either side of the frame, approximately 5cm from the top of the artwork or in proportion to the artwork. The D-rings should be able to bear the weight of the artwork. For safety reasons, artworks without D-rings will be excluded from the exhibition.

​Plinths of various sizes are used for sculpture; please contact us if you wish to provide your own plinth or if you have unusual display requirements.

Artworks are displayed at the discretion of Ellenbrook Arts

Exhibition requirements

All artwork must adhere to the Terms and Conditions for entry into the exhibition.

Artwork must be delivered to Ellenbrook Arts HQ at 34 Main Street, Ellenbrook on Tuesday, 1 December, 10am - 5pm. Please make arrangements for delivery if you are unable to deliver the items personally on the day and let the Ellenbrook Arts Team know.

​No entries will be accepted if delivered late.

​Artwork must be submitted with the following details SECURELY attached to the back of the work with the following details:

  • ​Artist's name

  • Artist's contact details

  • Artwork title & year of completion

  • Price + GST or clearly marked NFS (not for sale)

Artwork delivery

Opening event

All entrants and Ellenbrook Arts members will receive an invitation to the opening event.

All unsold work must be collected from Ellenbrook Arts HQ on Tuesday, 5 January, 10am-5pm. Please make arrangements for collection if you are not able to collect in person on the day and let the Ellenbrook Arts team know.

​Please note that the gallery cannot store your artwork and a storage fee may be applied if it is not collected on the specified date.

​​In the case of sold artwork the Entrant will be advised of any sale within a month after the exhibition finishes and the administration and delivery of sold work to buyers will be carried out by Ellenbrook Arts. Buyer's information is confidential and will not be shared with the Entrant.

Collection of artwork

The artwork must be the original artwork of the Entrant and not contravene any copyright law.

​The Entrant grants Ellenbrook Arts the right to photograph and reproduce images of entered artwork for promotional, educational and archival purposes related to the exhibition.

​All artworks must be original and created solely by the entering artist. Works must not infringe upon the copyright, moral rights, or intellectual property of any other person. Collaborative works must be clearly declared at the time of entry. The use of AI-generated content must also be disclosed and may not be accepted, depending on curatorial discretion. Any work found to be non-original or in breach of this condition will not be accepted.

Copyright

Failure to comply with any of the above may result in exclusion from the exhibition. Ellenbrook Arts reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove any artwork from the exhibition at any time.

Exclusions

Entrants are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times and must not engage in any behaviour that could bring Ellenbrook Arts into disrepute, including but not limited to criminal activity, harassment, discrimination, offensive behaviour, defamation,  or disparaging remarks about Ellenbrook Arts or its associates. Ellenbrook Arts may terminate participation immediately for such conduct, with no refund.

​Entrants agree to indemnify Ellenbrook Arts, its staff, volunteers, and agents against any claims, losses,, damages or expenses arising from their actions, omissions or participation in the exhibition. Ellenbrook Arts accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, theft or injury to persons or property. Artists are responsible for their own artwork and public liability insurance.

Personal conduct & indemnity

By entering the Members Exhibition, entrants acknowledge and accept these terms.
