Public Mural Workshop - Contribute to a Lasting Public Artwork

In the workshop you will explore the creative process behind designing a large-scale public mural. Guided by professional public artist Joanne Clark, you will gain an insight into how a mural evolves from an initial idea into a finished artwork.

Using Joanne's signature paper cut-out design method, you will be guided step by step through the process of developing their own mural concepts. Along the way, you will learn how to generate ideas, solve creative design challenges, experiment with composition, colour and storytelling, and transform your concepts into a cohesive artwork.

The workshops are designed to encourage creative thinking, problem-solving and visual communication while giving participants an authentic experience of the public art design process. You will create your own original design from beginning to end, developing practical artistic skills and confidence in your creative abilities.

Your ideas and designs will help inform the final mural that will be painted on the Ellenbrook Arts Centre HQ, allowing you to contribute to a lasting public artwork within the local community.
