Olivia Colja is a West Australian artist, curator, and community advocate whose practice spans over 15 years. Her paintings explore relationships—with significant people in her life—and her connection to landscape. Colja has exhibited extensively, including solo shows at Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, Kent Street Gallery, and her critically acclaimed 2022 solo exhibition Return to the Hook at Kolbusz Space, where she is currently represented. In 2024, she presented her second Kolbusz Space solo, Blu, and her solo exhibition Panels at Brunswick Street Gallery.
In addition to her artistic practice, Colja is Executive Director of Ellenbrook Arts and founder of Abstract School for the Arts, fostering creative development for emerging artists. She has curated landmark projects such as WOMXN, supporting women and non-binary artists to share work about gender experiences, and Unseen for Inclusive Arts Week at Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, featuring tactile artworks accessible to all abilities. Colja holds a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts, a Bachelor of Social Science, and a Diploma of Business, combining artistic vision with strong leadership and community engagement.
