Dana Stoll
Garbage Girl
Exhibition dates: May 29-June 28, 2026
Dana’s slow stitching textile practice sits in contrast to fast fashion and the cycle of over consumption and disposal.
She collects second hand materials and trash to playfully fuse clothing and waste, highlighting the possibilities of creative re-use.
Some pieces take months to create. The slowness is the point. A lost value, revived, with every mark she makes.
Her photo series features the Western Australian landscape as an ever-present character. Its pristine emptiness speaks loudly, establishing an imagined dialogue with landscapes of textile trash abroad created through waste colonialism.
