  • Ellenbrook Arts 34 Main St Ellenbrook, WA, 6069 Australia (map)

The Stylus is Mightiest! Digital Illustration for Teens.

🎨 Learn how to bring your characters and stories to life with digital art!

Love drawing? Curious about how digital artists illustrate with a stylus and tablet? This is your chance to turn your ideas into digital masterpieces.

Join digital illustrator, storyteller, and game designer Jake Bamford of Dapper Cranium Studios as he guides you through this fun, hands-on 4-day course (over four weeks) for young people who want to explore digital art, develop their creative skills, and learn how artists use illustration technology to bring their ideas to life. Whether you're interested in character design, comics, fantasy art, game concepts, or simply enjoy drawing, this course will help you build confidence and expand your artistic toolkit.

Across the program, participants will:

✨ Learn the fundamentals of digital illustration and traditional drawing
✨ Explore brushes, layers, colour, shading, and texture
✨ Develop original characters and creative concepts
✨ Examine composition and visual storytelling techniques
✨ Create finished digital artworks to add to their portfolio

Participants will have access to digital devices during the workshops. Those who own a tablet and stylus are encouraged to bring them along, allowing them to become familiar with their own equipment and continue creating beyond the course.

No experience is necessary; just bring your creativity and a willingness to try something new.
