Soft Toy Sculpture Workshop

Transform an ordinary soft toy into a one-of-a-kind work of art!

In this imaginative workshop, participants will choose a stuffed toy from a collection and reimagine it using a treasure trove of decorative materials. Flowers, jewellery, ribbons, buttons, seashells and other found objects can be stitched, tied or attached to create a completely unique character or sculpture.

Through creative play and artistic experimentation, participants will explore how colours, textures and embellishments can change the personality and story of an object. Whether whimsical, magical, funny or elegant, every transformed toy will become a special artwork with its own character.

Blending art, storytelling and play, this workshop encourages creativity, self-expression and creative reuse. Participants will leave with a personalised soft toy sculpture that can be displayed as an artwork or enjoyed as a treasured companion.

Who is this for?
Children aged 7-12.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for messy crafts and a willingness to have fun.

Spaces are limited - bookings essential.

Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit the artwork they create during the My Story My World workshop series in the Youth Exhibition in September 2026.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let us know as soon as possible so the place can be offered to another participant.
